My nephew did, not me:) He just got his driver’s license. This is his frist car for his college commute.
We spent a whole afternoon looking for a new basic model car, like Toyota Corolla, Honda Civic & Nissan Versa. We got it at the last stop.
It was not a super deal, but fair. We spent more than $1′500 to double the manufacture warranty from 3 years to 6 years. So, after $2′500 discount, plus tax and other fees, the total was about $15′700.
This is a small car. But the good thing is that it’s pretty fuel efficient, about 24 miles/galon in city and 32 miles/galon on highway.
I was surfing the web. I heard that the window in my room was making noise. I felt the ground shaked for a few seconds. I shouted, “Earthquake!” and gathered all my family members in the middle of the living room. I was a relatively open area and there was nothing but the roof on top of us. Nothing happened after that.
This is an excellent training program for you to memorize notes on a staff.
All you need is five minutes a day. Trust me! You will see the improvement in a week.
Let’s start from the very beginning. Memorizing all names of notes is a breeze.
1. Click anywhere on the staff.
2. Read the note on the staff.
3. Type the name of the note (C, D, E, F, G, A, B. These are all on the left-hand side of a keyboard. So typing in the name should be faster than clicking the name on screen by a mouse)
4. Right side shows your score statistic.
We need to pay extra attention to the following key points:
a, m, i fingers stroke direction -> down! (not up)
nail & flesh touch a string at the same time
to produce sound evenly, always stroke at the same part of your fingers
practice a scale as if it’s an arpeggio (don’t use metronome)
forward & backward scale practice sequence
to play fast scales, eliminate unnecessary movement, improve efficiency
co-ordination exercise, use tremolo to practice scale
“Tab” key is the most useful and powerful key under DOS console in MS Windows XP.
This key is simply a DOS version of “Lazy Susan”. It saves you a lot of typing. Especially, it rescues you from typing errors and frustration.
If you get used to use “doskey.exe” under DOS console, you might also love to use “Tab” key.
Doskey is a default function loaded under Dos console in MS Windows XP. You can use up and down arrow key to roll back and forth from a list of commands you have entered in the past.
Tab is also a default function loaded under the same environment. You can use the “Tab” key to roll through the names of the files and directories (folders) under your current directory.
Before I show you an example, let’s locate this useful key first.

Calculate electrical expenses by any period while checking the quality of your incoming power by monitoring the voltage, like frequency and power factor. Now you’ll know if it’s time for a new appliance, or whether new items touted as “energy saving” are actually doing their job.
